Heimdall

A regulatory and analytical data platform for a medium-sized Swiss bank

282teq originated around a long-term engagement with a medium-sized Swiss bank. At the core of this work is Heimdall, an Oracle-based Data Vault 2.0 environment designed and developed to support complex regulatory, compliance and analytical use cases.

The scale is relevant not as a vanity metric, but as evidence that the architecture and operating processes have had to work under real production complexity.

What it supports

Production use cases

Heimdall supports the regulatory, compliance and analytical processes the bank depends on — in production, under audit, over time.

Beyond the database

Integrated into the bank

The implementation goes substantially beyond the database itself: data pipelines, enterprise automation, production monitoring, testing, controlled deployment and release processes, metadata and data dictionaries — all integrated into the bank’s existing technology and operational infrastructure.

The value is not merely the ability to model data. It is the ability to integrate a complex analytical system into an existing bank environment and operate controlled change over time.

Sanctions response

Responding when requirements change

A change in the international geopolitical and sanctions environment created a new analytical problem for the bank. Rather than configuring an existing off-the-shelf solution, 282teq helped translate the new requirement into a banking-data problem and designed and implemented an appropriate analytical solution within the institution’s existing environment.

This example demonstrates more than technical scale: the combination of political-economic understanding, banking-domain knowledge, data architecture, analytical reasoning and production implementation that differentiates 282teq.
